Even more Julia

She married Tom Schwarzbach and now is no longer Julia Rohde but Julia Schwarzbach. She went 73kg/95kg.

And her husband also lifted in the same competition (155kg/195kg):

And the complete competition:

D'Angelo Osorio Snatch PR

D'Angelo Osorio sets a new Snatch PR of 155kg after a great save where he almost stumbles over the camera window which is built in the platform (at least that is my guess what it is). This is for the funny close ups you see e.g. at the Olympics which are somewhat useless in my opinion - or even dangerous in this case.

Analysis of Artem Ivanov Clean and Jerk 230kg

Enjoy the really well done analysis:

Artem Ivanov Snatch 190kg technical analysis

Artem Ivanov Snatchs 185kg and 190kg plus the bar path plus bar speed.

Not text book - at least as far as I know. However it seems to work for him.

Kendrick Ferris power jerks 193kg for a triple

Title says it all.

Ilya Ilyin: Science of Victory

Here is a documentary about Ilya Ilyins and his way to the London Olympic Games. However the documentary is less scientific as the titles say. However at 13:30 it gives some little insights in his training which seems pretty much identical to the Bulgarian style of training.

Ilya Ilin Front Squats

Front Squat 250kg  Ilya Ilin style.

Kendrick Farris Clean and squat Jerk 180kg

Kendrick Farris does (at least in my opinion ;)) a power/squat jerk mixture with 180kg. It does not look as good as Lu Xiaojun does it, but it is a full squat anyhow. Kudos.

Artem Ivanov at Ukraine Championships 2012

I just wanted to put together the awesome lifts of Artem Ivanov at Ukraine Championships 2012. And to complete those videos a citation from wikipedia:

Unfortunately at the 2012 Olympic Games, Ivanov did not appear for his weigh-in, prompting speculation of injury, and leaving rival Ilya Ilyin to comfortably retain his title.

Evgeny Kolomiets 210kg clean and jerk

I love that speed.

Ilya Ilyin training

Finally a video of Ilya Ilyin with some proper quality. Here he is Clean and Jerking 180kg with the usual casual walking around upfront:

Videos from the Olympics are with less good quality:

Artem Ivanov 230 Clean and Jerk

Artem Ivanov Clean & Jerks 230kg at the Ukraine Championships 2012. He also snatched 190kg at the same meet.
However he did not lift in London 2012.
